Yes. It does not vacuum out, which is why yours is still there. We lift it with rubber brushes and the right nozzles, then shampoo and extract the fabric it was woven into. A husky, two labradors and a camp trip with three kids are all on our review page.
A smell has a source, and the only fix is to clean the source. Sprays cover it for a day. We extract what it is living in, steam what we cannot extract, and deodorise at the end. Milk, wet dog, damp and cigarette all respond; we tell you honestly if something will not.
